St. John’s UMC Youth group is a long-standing pinnacle in the community. Unfortunately, as with many things, the pandemic squelched it. St. John’s UMC and its leaders are fervently trying to rekindle the Youth Group. Currently it meets the 2nd & 4th Sunday of the month immediately following Sunday service for about 1 hour. Youth Group includes Christian lessons, discussions, games, and Community Service. All are welcome to attend regardless of their affiliation with St. John’s UMC or any church. Jr. High to High School students (gr. 5-12) are welcome to join us and give The Youth Group a try.
It is our belief that the youth are the future of not only the church but the world, and as Proverbs 22:6 states, “Train up a child in the way he should go. Even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
