Nursery School

A ministry of St. John's United Methodist Church, our nursery school has been serving the Bayshore for over 50 years!  We offer programs for children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years of age.  Our programs include developmentally appropriate activities.  We use learning centers to foster hands-on learning experiences. Our curriculum includes literacy, science, and math activities. Circle time, crafts, stories, and snack are important parts of our daily routine. Our curriculum is enhanced with the teaching of Christian values and the love of God through Bible verses, Bible themes, and prayers. Our teachers help each child to develop social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills according to each child's individual level of readiness.

 

Licensed by the State of New Jersey. 

We have 2 playgrounds and an indoor gymnasium. Security system is on all doors.

2024-2025 CLASS OFFERINGS 

Young 3's / Tiny Tots:  Children must be 2 1/2 by Oct. 1.  We offer love and guidance in a warm engaging play/learning environment.  We help foster independence as we introduce your child to circle time, sharing, crafts, and assurance that mom and dad will be there to pick them up when their day is through!  Children must be toilet trained.

AM    Tues/Thurs         9:00am - 11:30am        $265/month  

 

3 Year Olds:  Children must be 3 by Oct. 1.  Through hands-on learning centers and an enriched curriculum, we foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.  Teachers work with children independently and in small groups.  The children learn of friendship and sharing, and that school is a safe and happy place to be!

4 Year Olds:  Children must be 4 by Oct. 1.  Reading readiness, language development, math, science, listening comprehension, alphabet, numbers, fine motor development, sign language, and Spanish are all part of our kindergarten readiness programs for 4-year-olds. Small group and one-on-one instruction is given.

Extended Care: $11.00 per hour. Extended Care is available between 7:30am - 4:30pm any day of the week, regardless of your child's preschool schedule.
